Jewett news…June 11-15

Sunday, June 10. 2018

The North West Mounted Police trainees(aka Jewett students) are gearing up for the trek to the training camp at Fort Steele. We heard there was some trouble over there with the miners looking for gold. With Superintendent Sam Steele (aka Ms. L.) Corporals Dodd and Wiens, we will be making the trek tomorrow at 0800 hours.

Please be at headquarters(Jewett School) at 0730 hours so we can load up the pack wagon (bus) and get on the road before the weather turns nasty!

Looks like we will have a mix of sun and clouds but chilly nights so bring warm clothes, but remember we have to get 21 in the wagon, so only bring what is on the kit list and we can’t have a stuffie big enough to take up a seat in the wagon!

For tomorrow, trainees need a bathing suit, towel, plastic bag, bag lunch in their backpacks so we don’t have to unload everything to get bathing suits for the swimming hole.

The trainees will be hungry doing pushups, marching, and taking orders so please send your food item.

The rest of the week:

Monday, June 11-13-Fort Steele
Tuesday, June 12- NO Strong Start due to scheduled power outage.
Thursday, June 14-Last Strong Start for 2017-18.
Friday, June 15-Take Me Outside
Finish pottery at school
Sunday, June 17-Happy Father’s Day!

*Please look around for any outstanding Library books.
